The lower section features a slanted drop-front writing surface (slant-front/fall-front desk) with a keyhole escutcheon, concealing an internal desk compartment. Below the slant front are two small decorative drawers with carved relief scrollwork and wooden knobs, and one large lower drawer, supported by turned legs connected by a perimeter stretcher base.
