An aristocratic hunting or riding party gathered in a formal park setting. The central figure is a nobleman in a red frock coat mounted on a dappled grey horse executing a levade. Surrounding him are other riders, a standing gentleman with a walking stick, a hound, and classical garden elements including an urn and a statue of a goddess (possibly Diana).
